The Lemons of Life

Don't let lemons sour you on life. I almost did.  I want to help you get through the lemons and move on to enjoying life again.  So go ahead and make that Lemonade or get those Tequila shots ready, but when they're gone, grab a piece of chocolate and read my posts to find out how I moved on and you can too.

Since 1993

Welcome to my Life

I hope the information you read in the blogs I post will help you move on after life gives you lemons.  There have been many times in my life where I felt alone, scared, and lost. I felt there was no one in my life I could talk to or who would understand what I was going through. I did not think I would survive some of the sourness of the lemons many times in my 49 years. Yet here I am, telling my stories.  I have a bio on the About Me page so you can learn a little of who I am.

I want to thank my friends both new and old who have always encouraged me to open up and speak out, even when they didn't know what I would be speaking about.

As you read each blog, I hope that you will be inspired to think positively, feel good about yourself, do good things for yourself and others, know that you are not alone, and most of all know everything happens for a reason. Sometimes we don't know the reason when the lemons are being thrown at us. Eventually you learn the reason and it makes sense. Sometimes you have to go through the worst things imaginable in order to get to the best life has to offer. Don't give up when going through the bad! Keep going to get to the good side.

In 2017 I started a candy company. It has been a lifelong dream of mine to open a candy store. Making candy has helped me throughout the years get through some lemons life has thrown at me. In July, I opened the retail candy store where I sold my homemade candy along with Dippin Dots, Jelly Belly's, and other novelty/old time candies. The name of the store was Life After Lemons Candy Store and it was located in York SC. Sadly, due to many lemons and bad location choice on my part, I had to close the store in March 2018 and I relocated back to Pennsylvania. But the candy dream will continue. I am working on getting the company up and running in Pennsylvania and will keep you all posted.

I haven't given up on the dream, I am just modifying it to fit into my new life.
